To the Thrones Community:
This message is from the three Thrones podcasts and for the known public message boards.
In A Game of Thrones 1.0, there was a lot of secrecy about decks. This has been said to slow the meta down and limit the community. Further, this created far more scouting and a greater disparity of information, leading to an imbalance in tournaments and an untrue test of player skill. It also makes it more difficult for some new players to find and play top decks and then improve. Therefore, for A Game of Thrones Card Game 2.0, a number of metas have come together and decided to share 2.0 top 4 decklists. Starting, hopefully, at Worlds, a Google drive will be created for metas to input their decklists for public viewing on Whitebookpodcast.com under the Winning decks link. This is by no means meant to force metas into sharing, and privacy will still be respected, but so far the majority of the following metas have agreed and accepted to share their decklists at set times of the year:
New York, Missouri, Chicago, Southern California, Boston, all Florida metas, Ottowa, Canadians, the Dutch, the Swedes, Adelaide Australia, both the Barcelona and Madrid metas in Spain, and both the London and Cornish metas. Newly added metas include Tulsa and Kuwait!
Top 4 Decks will be shared after individual store championships, local events, after any Regional where the a Top 4 player does not want to play the deck again, after Regional Season, and, after an community run tournament, and after a national or world championship.
Submitted will be a full decklist, deck pilot, and deck creator.
If your meta is not listed above and you would like to participate in this open sharing and community building, please be in touch with Aaron Glazer through the usual channels or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Stay tuned to your usual Thrones networks for more information.
